## Overview

The assistant automatically learns and remembers durable facts and preferences about you from your conversations—such as when you prefer to schedule meetings or what kind of work you do. You can inspect these memories at any time, delete anything you want the assistant to forget, and customize your assistant's reasoning behavior and thinking levels.

## Memories Management

### Inspecting Your Stored Memories
The assistant saves notes about you to make future chats more personalized. You can view these stored memories in your settings by following these steps:
1. Open the application and click your user menu, then select **Settings**.
2. Click on the **AI memory** tab.
3. Review the list of facts the assistant has saved about you, sorted with the newest items first.

### Deleting Stored Memories
You can instantly remove individual items that the assistant has remembered about you:
1. Navigate to **Settings** > **AI memory**.
2. Locate the memory you wish to remove from the list.
3. Click the **Delete memory** button (represented by a trash icon) next to the item. The assistant will immediately forget that fact.

## Assistant Behavior and Preferences

### Adjusting Core Preferences
Your general preferences directly affect how the assistant reads your schedule and plans events:
* **Timezone:** Ensures dates and times are read and written correctly for your local wall clock.
* **Working Hours:** Helps the assistant determine when you are available for meetings or focus blocks.
* **Week Start Day:** Sets which day of the week your calendar views and summaries start on (such as Sunday, Monday, or Saturday).
* **Time Format:** Switches between 12-hour and 24-hour time displays.

### Understanding Assistant Thinking Levels
Different AI models support different reasoning or "thinking" depths to handle complex queries:
* **Thinking Levels:** Depending on the model powering your assistant, it may accept thinking levels such as `minimal`, `low`, `medium`, or `high`.
* **Minimal Thinking:** Certain flash-class models support a `minimal` setting to reduce internal reasoning tokens and speed up straightforward chat responses.
* **Default Thinking:** Models without an off-switch run on the provider's default thinking depth (such as `medium`) to balance response quality and speed.
