## Overview

Calendar0 brings your work and personal calendars together into a single, unified weekly view. This guide walks you through creating your account, completing the initial setup wizard, and navigating your dashboard so you can start managing your time and meetings efficiently.

## Creating Your Account

You can sign up for Calendar0 using your web browser or the desktop application.

1. Go to the sign-in page or open the Calendar0 app.
2. Choose your preferred registration method:
   - **Google:** Click **Continue with Google** to sign in directly with your Google account.
   - **Email:** Switch to the sign-up tab, enter your email address, create a password (at least 8 characters), confirm your password, and click **Create account**.
3. If signing up via email, check your inbox for a welcome message to verify your address.

> [!NOTE]
> Google and Microsoft handle authentication directly, meaning Calendar0 never sees or stores your account passwords. Apple connections use an app-specific password.

## Initial Setup Wizard

### Overview of Setup Steps
Once signed in, you will be guided through a quick initial setup wizard to configure your calendar accounts, time preferences, and scheduling links.

### Step 1: Connect Your Calendars
Connect any number of calendars from supported providers to view them all in one place.
- Supported providers: Google (`google`), Microsoft (`microsoft`), Apple (`apple`)
- Sources: `ConnectStep`, `ConnectedAppsManager`, `AccountsManager`, `sidebar-calendars.tsx`

1. On the calendar connection screen, select your provider (**Google Calendar**, **Outlook / Microsoft 365**, or **iCloud**).
2. Follow the authentication prompts to link your account.
3. *Optional:* Expand **Rename calendars** if you want to give your calendars custom names that you use in daily conversation.
4. Click **Continue** once you have added your desired accounts, or click **Skip for now** to add them later.

### Step 2: Set Your Week and Preferences
Configure how times, working hours, and weeks display across your dashboard.
1. Set the day your week starts on (**Sunday**, **Monday**, or **Saturday**).
2. Define your daily working hours (e.g., start and end times).
3. Confirm your local time zone.

### Step 3: Create Your First Booking Link
Claim your personal scheduling URL so others can easily book time with you based on your live availability.
1. Choose or verify your unique username to establish your booking page URL (`/book/username`).
2. Create your default 30-minute meeting link (`30min`), which automatically applies your working hours and prevents double-booking.

### Step 4: Get the Desktop App
Download the companion desktop application for your operating system to access menu bar shortcuts, call reminders, and meeting recording tools.
- Supported operating systems: macOS (Apple silicon and Intel), Windows (x64 and ARM64), Linux (AppImage and `.deb`)
- Sources: `download/page.tsx`, `desktop-step.tsx`, `supabase/seed.sql`

1. Navigate to the download section during setup or visit the download page.
2. Select the installer package matching your operating system.
3. Open the downloaded file, complete the installation, and sign in to sync your calendars automatically.

## Navigating the Dashboard

Once setup is complete, you will land on the main calendar dashboard view. The interface is organized around a sidebar for navigation and a main content area for your schedule.

| Dashboard Section | Description |
| :--- | :--- |
| **Search** | Instantly search events, details, and past meetings using keyboard shortcuts. |
| **Calendar View** | Displays your combined week across all connected accounts. Switch between day, week, and month views. |
| **Assistant** | Open the AI assistant panel to ask schedule questions, move meetings, or find free blocks in plain language. |
| **Scheduling** | Manage your booking links, review upcoming bookings, and check your scheduling settings. |
| **Setup Checklist** | Tracks your onboarding progress (visible in the sidebar until all steps are complete or dismissed). |

> [!TIP]
> Use keyboard shortcuts to navigate quickly: press `Cmd+K` (Mac) or `Ctrl+K` (Windows/Linux) to open Search, or press `Cmd+J` / `Ctrl+J` to open the Assistant from anywhere in the app.
