## Overview

Customizing your availability allows you to control when people can book meetings with you across all your scheduling links. You can define your weekly working hours, configure buffer times between calls to prevent back-to-back fatigue, and schedule vacation or away periods when no bookings should be accepted.

---

## Configuring Weekly Working Hours

Your weekly hours define the standard times you are available for bookings on each day of the week.

1. Go to your **Preferences** or open the **When** section on any scheduling link editor.
2. Under **Working hours**, use the drop-down menus or presets (such as **9 to 5** or **8 to 6**) to set your start and end times.
3. Toggle individual days of the week on or off. Turning a day on automatically applies your standard working hours to that day.
4. Select your primary **Timezone**. Working hours are interpreted in this timezone, while guests automatically see available times converted to their own local time.

> [!TIP]
> New scheduling links automatically inherit your default working hours and timezone, making it quick to set up new meeting types.

---

## Setting Buffer Times Between Calls

Buffer times add mandatory breaks before or after your scheduled meetings, ensuring you have time to take notes, rest, or transition between appointments.

1. Open the scheduling link you want to update and go to the **When** section.
2. Locate the **Break after each meeting** setting.
3. Choose a buffer duration from the available options: **0 minutes**, **5 minutes**, **10 minutes**, **15 minutes**, or **30 minutes**.

Supported buffer durations: `0`, `5`, `10`, `15`, `30` (in minutes).

## Scheduling Away and Vacation Periods

### Managing Your Time Off

When you take time off, you can set away periods that block bookings across every scheduling link on your account.

### Adding an Away Period

1. Navigate to the **Availability** page in your dashboard.
2. Under the **Away** section, click **Add away period**.
3. Use the range calendar to pick your start and end dates.
4. *(Optional)* Add a personal note explaining your absence.
5. *(Optional)* Toggle **Shown to guests** on if you want visitors to see your note on the calendar when they attempt to book during your time away.
6. Click save to apply the period.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Away periods are enforced globally across every scheduling link you own. Overlapping away periods are automatically prevented to keep your calendar schedule clean and unambiguous. You can save up to 50 active or past away periods on your account.

### Removing an Away Period

1. Navigate to the **Availability** page in your dashboard.
2. Locate the away period you wish to remove in the list.
3. Click the trash icon next to the entry to delete it immediately and reopen those dates for booking.
