## Overview

Sharing availability allows you to control when and how people can book meetings with you. You can share your personal booking page via direct links, embed interactive booking forms directly into your website, and precisely configure your working hours, time zones, breaks, notice periods, and away periods.

Every scheduling link you create inherits your core preferences and connects to your calendar, automatically preventing double-booking by checking all of your connected calendars for conflicts.

## Direct Links and Booking Pages

### Finding Your Booking URL

Your booking links serve as the primary public entry point for guests to schedule time with you. Every link you create is organized under your unique username.

1. Go to **Booking links** in your dashboard.
2. View your top-level booking prefix (e.g., `calendar0.app/book/yourname/...`).
3. Each individual scheduling link adds its own unique name (or slug) to the end of this prefix.
4. Copy the full link using the copy button or click **Open** to view the live booking page in a new tab.

> [!TIP]
> You can change your username at any time from the **Booking links** page by clicking **Edit username**. Note that changing your username will immediately break any older links you have already shared, as redirects are not supported.

### Proposing Specific Times

Instead of sending a generic link, you can propose specific open meeting slots directly within a message:

1. Navigate to the **Share** section of your link editor or the booking links manager.
2. Click **Propose times**.
3. The system scans the next 14 days and automatically generates a text message containing the first available time slot for the next 3 days, formatted in your local time zone alongside your direct booking link.
4. Paste the generated text into your email, chat, or messaging app.

## Embedding Booking Forms on Your Website

### Available Embed Types

You can embed your booking pages directly into external websites using three distinct display styles.

| Embed Type | Description |
| :--- | :--- |
| `inline` | Renders the booking page directly inside the content flow of your web page. |
| `popup` | Adds a button to your site that opens the booking page in an overlay window when clicked. |
| `floating` | Places a permanent floating button in the corner of your web page that opens the booking page overlay. |

### How to Add an Embed

1. Open the embed code generator from your link's settings or by clicking the overflow menu on your link row and selecting **Embed this link**.
2. Select your preferred embed style (**Inline**, **Popup**, or **Floating button**).
3. Copy the generated code snippet.
4. Paste the HTML and script snippet directly into the source code of your website.

> [!NOTE]
> Embedded booking forms automatically resize themselves to fit their content and communicate securely with your host website.

## Configuring Working Hours and Availability Rules

### Setting Weekly Hours and Time Zones

You can fine-tune your availability settings globally or per individual scheduling link to match your exact routine.

1. Go to your link editor's **When** section or your global **Preferences**.
2. Toggle individual days of the week on or off using the switches.
3. Set your start and end times for each active day using the time inputs.
4. Select your correct **Timezone**.

> [!IMPORTANT]
> Your availability hours are saved in your chosen timezone. Guests will automatically see available time slots converted into their own local time zone.

### Fine-Tuning Advanced Availability Rules

To prevent back-to-back meetings and last-minute surprises, configure the following availability rules in your link editor:

* **Break after each meeting (Buffer):** Adds mandatory padding time (e.g., `0`, `5`, `10`, `15`, or `30` minutes) after every booked meeting so you never run out of time.
* **Minimum notice:** Sets a required lead time (e.g., `0`, `60`, `120`, `240`, `1440`, or `2880` minutes) before a meeting can be booked, stopping people from booking sudden same-day surprises.
* **Bookable from:** Controls how far in advance the booking window opens (options: `0` days / Today, `1` day / Tomorrow, or up to `7` days ahead).
* **Bookable up to:** Controls the maximum future horizon guests can book into (options: `7`, `14`, `30`, `60`, or `90` days ahead).

## Managing Away Periods

### Adding an Away Period

When you are on vacation, traveling, or taking personal time off, you can set up away periods to block off dates across all of your booking links simultaneously.

1. Navigate to your main **Availability** settings page.
2. Under the **Away** section, click **Add away period**.
3. Select your date range using the interactive calendar or type the dates.
4. *(Optional)* Add a private or public note. Toggle **Shown to guests** on if you want visitors attempting to book during your time away to see your custom note on an away notice card.
5. Click **Save**.

> [!WARNING]
> Away periods cannot overlap with one another. If you need to extend an existing away period, remove the old one first or select a non-overlapping date range.
