Overview
Public Scheduling Links let you create dedicated booking pages that others can use to schedule time directly on your calendar. You can share these links via email or chat, or embed them directly onto your website so visitors can book meetings without ever leaving your site.
Each scheduling link connects to one of your calendar accounts and automatically checks your availability to prevent double-booking. When someone books a time, the meeting is added to your calendar, and a confirmation email is sent to the guest.
Creating and Managing Scheduling Links
You can create up to 20 individual scheduling links per account, allowing you to set up different meeting types (such as a 15-minute quick catch-up, a 30-minute standard meeting, or a 60-minute deep dive).
To create a new scheduling link:
- Go to your dashboard and navigate to the Booking links page.
- Click the New link button.
- Choose a title, duration, and the calendar where bookings should be saved.
- Save your changes to generate your public booking link.
Note
You must claim a booking username before you can create and share your scheduling links.
Customizing Meeting Durations and Availability
Setting Your Schedule and Limits
You have full control over when and how people can book time with you. Each link can be customized with specific rules to fit your workflow.
- Weekly Hours: Set specific working hours for each day of the week (Monday through Sunday) in your chosen timezone.
- Meeting Duration: Choose how long the meeting lasts, ranging from 5 to 480 minutes.
- Break Time (Buffers): Add mandatory buffer time before or after meetings to give yourself breathing room.
- Minimum Notice: Prevent last-minute bookings by requiring a minimum notice period (ranging from immediate booking up to a few days ahead).
- Booking Window: Control how far into the future people can book appointments (for example, limiting bookings to the next 14 or 60 days).
Embedding Booking Pages on Your Website
Choosing Your Embed Style
You can embed your scheduling links directly into any website using three different display styles. To get your embed code, click the share or embed options on any scheduling link in your dashboard.
Supported Embed Styles
| Style | Description | Code Snippet Example |
|---|---|---|
| Inline | Displays the booking page directly inside the flow of your website's content. | Inline embed snippet code |
| Popup | Adds a clickable button that opens the booking page in an overlay window over your page. | Popup embed snippet code |
| Floating button | Places a persistent floating button in the corner of the screen that opens the booking modal when clicked. | Floating button snippet code |
Tip
When using inline embeds, the booking page automatically adjusts its height to fit its contents without showing internal scrollbars.
Visitor Booking Workflow
When a guest visits your public scheduling link (/book/username/slug), they experience a smooth, multi-step booking process:
- Date Selection: The guest picks an available date. Days when you are away or outside your scheduling window are automatically greyed out.
- Time Slot Selection: The app checks your real-time availability across all connected calendars and shows open time slots in the guest's local timezone.
- Details Form: The guest enters their name, email, and answers any custom questions you've required.
- Confirmation: The system books the slot, writes the event directly to your calendar provider, and sends out email confirmations.
Supported Calendar Providers
When setting up your scheduling links, you can link bookings to any of the following supported calendar providers:
- Supported providers:
google,microsoft,apple
Important
If your connected calendar account becomes disconnected or encounters authentication errors, your scheduling links will temporarily stop accepting new bookings until you reconnect the account in your settings.
