Overview
The Meeting Notes feature helps you capture, review, and organize everything discussed during your calls. By recording meetings directly through the desktop app or writing manual notes, you get auto-generated transcripts with speaker labels, smart summaries categorized by topic, and actionable items complete with assigned owners.
How to Record Meetings
You can record your calls seamlessly using the desktop app, which captures both your microphone and the call audio without requiring any bot to join the meeting.
- Install the desktop app on your Mac, Windows, or Linux device.
- Open your calendar event when the meeting is about to start.
- Click Record or select Join & record from your menu bar reminder.
- Hang up the call when finished; your audio uploads automatically for processing.
Note
Recording and automated notes features require a paid plan.
Reviewing Auto-Generated Transcripts and Summaries
Once a recording finishes processing, your notes page updates with structured information to help you quickly review the conversation.
- Transcript View: Read through verbatim utterances organized with speaker labels, timestamps, and color-coded speaker dots. You can use the built-in search bar with up/down navigation to find specific keywords instantly.
- Speaker Management: In one-to-one calls and meetings with detected participants, you can rename generic labels like "Participant 1" to actual names.
- AI Summaries: Review topic-based bullet points, key decisions, and follow-ups generated automatically from the conversation.
Extracting and Managing Action Items
Action Item Workflows
Action items are automatically extracted from your meeting transcripts and highlighted for you to track and complete.
- Open any saved meeting note in your dashboard.
- Locate the Action items section to view extracted tasks, along with their assigned owners and details.
- Click the checkbox next to any item to mark it as complete.
- Click Add to manually create new action items or use the assignee picker to assign tasks to meeting attendees.
Tip
Completed action items stay attached to your meeting notes so you can easily reference past commitments during follow-up calls.
Tagging and Organizing Meeting Summaries
You can search and organize all your past discussions directly from your Meetings dashboard.
- Search Meetings: Use the search bar in your dashboard to find specific terms across all recorded calls, transcripts, and AI-generated summaries.
- Tagging: Group related meetings together by adding tags to your meeting notes, making it easy to filter your dashboard views by project or topic.
