Overview
Calendar Views allow you to navigate your schedule across different time scales, inspect individual event details, and organize upcoming activities. You can seamlessly switch between distinct visual layouts, manage multi-day or single-day items, and configure how your time is displayed.
Navigating Views
Switching Between Layout Modes
The software provides multiple layout modes to fit your scheduling needs. You can switch between these modes using the view controls located in the calendar toolbar.
| View Mode | Description |
|---|---|
day | Focuses on a single 24-hour vertical timeline, displaying a granular hourly breakdown. |
week | Displays a rolling 7-day multi-column grid showing time slots and all-day items side-by-side. |
month | Displays a full monthly grid showing event summary bars, daily item counts, and overflow indicators. |
Moving Through Time
- Locate the view toggle (segmented control) in the upper-right corner of the calendar toolbar.
- Click on your desired view option (Day, Week, or Month).
- Use the Previous (
<) and Next (>) buttons next to the title heading to step backward or forward through time based on your active view. - Click the Today button to immediately jump back to the current date.
Note
Changing your calendar view automatically clears any active event selection to prevent stale references across different date ranges.
Reviewing Events
Interacting with Event Cards
You can inspect event information, check schedules, and review past or upcoming activities directly from the calendar interface.
- Timed Events: Display exact start and end times alongside titles and provider icons. Click any timed event to open its detailed side panel or mobile bottom-sheet.
- All-Day & Multi-Day Events: Render as horizontal bars stretching across the top of week or month grids.
- In-Progress Events: Feature a highlight indicator and progress tracking for ongoing meetings.
Inspecting Specific Dates
- In Week View, empty grid slots are divided into 15-minute quarters. Clicking an empty slot opens the event creation dialog pre-filled with that specific day and time.
- In Month View, clicking a day cell or an overflow indicator (
+N more) lets you examine that specific day's schedule in greater detail.
Customizing Display Options
Understanding Display Settings
Your calendar automatically adapts to your saved preferences, time zones, and clock formats.
- Working Hours: Highlights your primary working window on the timeline, automatically scrolling to the relevant part of your day when you open the calendar.
- Time Zones: Automatically adjusts incoming event times to match your local clock settings while preserving the correct absolute instants.
- Week Starts On: Respects your preferred starting day of the week (such as Monday or Sunday) across all week and month grids.
