Calendar Accounts Sync

Last updated Oct 18, 2026

Overview

Connecting and synchronizing your calendar accounts lets you view, manage, and coordinate all your schedules in one unified space. You can connect multiple accounts from different providers, choose which individual calendars to display, rename them to match how you talk about them, and set a default calendar where new events are created.

Supported providers: Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple Calendar (iCloud).

Connecting Calendar Accounts

Overview of Connection Methods

You can connect your calendar accounts during initial onboarding or at any time from your settings.

Connecting via Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings and select Accounts.
  2. Click Add account to open the provider picker.
  3. Select your calendar provider:
    • Google Calendar (covers Gmail and Google Workspace)
    • Microsoft Outlook (covers Microsoft 365 and Outlook.com)
    • Apple Calendar (covers iCloud Calendar)
  4. Follow the authentication steps for your chosen provider:
    • For Google and Microsoft: A secure pop-up window will prompt you to sign in and grant calendar access.
    • For Apple (iCloud): A credentials dialog will appear where you must enter your Apple ID Email and an App-Specific Password generated from your Apple account security settings.

Note

For iCloud accounts, your standard Apple ID login password will not work. You must generate a dedicated app-specific password from Apple's account management website under Sign-In and Security.

Managing Calendar Selections and Visibility

Overview of Calendar Controls

Once your accounts are connected, you can control which individual calendars appear in your main view and choose your default write target.

Choosing Shown Calendars

  • Use the sidebar on your calendar page to tick or untick individual calendars.
  • Ticking a calendar displays its events in your unified view, while unticking hides them without disconnecting the account.

Setting a Default Calendar

  • You can designate a primary calendar where all new events are created by default.
  • If you have multiple accounts or calendars, you can configure your default write target in your account settings.

Customizing Calendar Names

Providers often assign generic or technical names to calendars. You can rename any calendar to match how you talk about it.

  1. Go to Settings and locate the Calendars section under your connected accounts.
  2. Click on the calendar you want to rename.
  3. Enter a friendly, custom name.
  4. Save your changes. The custom name will appear across your schedule and assistant views while keeping the provider's original name intact.

Disconnecting an Account

If you no longer want an account to sync with your schedule, you can disconnect it at any time.

  1. Go to Settings and open Accounts.
  2. Locate the account you wish to remove and click Disconnect.
  3. Confirm your choice in the prompt. Disconnecting removes stored access tokens and stops all synchronization immediately. You can reconnect the same account at any point.

Warning

Disconnecting an account stops all event synchronization and hides its associated calendars immediately.
